DSV has put together a strong portfolio for the Europe-wide 2018 oilseed rape season.
In addition to well-established varieties such as DARIOT, DIFFUSION, MARATHON and PHOENIX CL, the surge of approvals in the winter month means that this year TuYV-resistant varieties will be available for the first time.
In this segment TEMPTATION is worth special mention for its outstanding performance, and has already been registered in several European countries.
As well as being resistant to the TuYV virus as already stated, it is highly resistant to phoma and extremely winter hardy.
Another outstanding variety in this segment is PRINCE – with compact growth and mid-early ripening, it has an excellent harvestability.
Furthermore, very rapid early vigour and good winter hardiness make it particularly suitable for Central and Eastern Europe.
By combining several yield-stabilising traits such as disease resistance, good winter hardiness and ideal plant architecture,
DSV breeders are advancing along a familiar path and breeding cultivars that provide growers with a high degree of reliability and yield stability.
