While crops grow well in the moisture, heat and humidity during summer, so do fungal diseases. DuPont™ Aproach® Prima fungicide helps growers control diseases before they become a larger problem.
“An application of Aproach Prima at tasseling (VT) helps protect the ear leaf and upper one-third of the corn canopy during the grain fill period,” says Mike Meyer, Ph.D., disease management technical expert, Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont. “For soybeans, an application around the R3 growth stage, ahead of pod fill, typically provides the greatest return on investment.”
Diseases can run rampant throughout the summer months, significantly impacting crop yield and plant health.
With unique movement properties, Aproach Prima fungicide works quickly by surrounding the surface of the plant. It is then rapidly absorbed and moves throughout the leaf surface and plant tissues, providing full protection of each leaf and stem — even those that have yet to emerge. Paired with proper scouting and application, growers are better prepared for potential disease pressure.
“Foliar diseases reduce the total green leaf area available to maximize grain and pod fill,” Meyer says. “The earlier diseases occur in the season, the greater the potential impact on yield.”
Once applied, Aproach Prima fungicide works quickly to prevent new infection and slow disease development in corn, soybean and wheat.
