Tomatenteler Roel de Bakker heeft in zijn kas een proef met Provine staan tussen zijn huidige hoofdras. Hij is zeer positief: “Naast een mooie kleuring en een goede smaak valt Provine vooral op door een vlakke en uniforme trosopbouw, dat scheelt ook in arbeid. De trossen met 6 vruchten passen met 6 netjes in een kist van 5 kilo. Dat zorgt voor een mooie presentatie. Het is een trostomaat waar je als teler trots op kunt zijn.”

Nunhems introduces Provine* in Cluster Medium-Big an excellent combination of production with reliable quality
On Wednesday 20th June Nunhems officially introduced Provine*, a new vine tomato variety at its Tomato Center in Kwintsheul. Here Nunhems shared extensive trial results and the visitors could examine the variety in the greenhouse, grown in unlighted conditions.
With Provine Nunhems serves the gap between the segments Cluster Big (average weight of approx. 150 grams) and Cluster Medium (average weight of approx. 110 grams). Sebastiaan Breugem, Nunhems Product Specialist Tomato: “There is a market demand for a smaller big vine tomato. With six tomatoes on the vine Provine has an average fruit weight between 130 and 150 grams.
Early production, high yield and consistent quality
Provine offers an excellent combination of a high yield and reliable quality. The variety performs consistently throughout the entire crop cycle and under various conditions. The extensive trial results show an early production.
Jan Hanemaaijer, International Sales Specialist Tomatoes: “Until late summer Provine has at least the same yield as the main variety or even higher. The variety is very generative and ripen and change color well. The clusters turn red sooner than the standard variety, so they can be harvested 1 or 2 days earlier. Especially in spring when the kilo prices are high, the earliness of Provine can increase your profit.
Nice appearance and less labour costs
Tomato grower Roel de Bakker has a trial of Provine next to his current main variety. He is very positive: “Besides the beautiful color and the great taste Provine excels with its flat, uniform clusters. Six Provine clusters each holding 6 tomatoes nicely fill up a 5 kgs. box, which not only reduces labour but also results in an excellent presentation. Provine is a tomato that makes you proud.”

Nunhems présente Provine*, la tomate grappe de taille moyenne une excellente combinaison entre production et qualité fiable
Le mercredi 20 juin dernier, Nunhems a lancé dans son Nunhems Tomato Center la nouvelle variété de tomate grappe Provine*. À cette occasion, les résultats des nombreux tests effectués ont été présentés et les visiteurs ont également pu voir un essai en culture non-éclairée.
Avec Provine*, Nunhems comble l’espace entre les segments de tomates grappe de grosse taille (environ 150 grammes) et de tomates grappe de taille moyenne (environ 110 grammes). Sebastiaan Breugem, Spécialiste du Développement Produit : « Le marché réclamait une tomate grappe de grosse taille mais légèrement plus fine. Provine (NUN 09196 TOF)*, structurée par grappes de 6 fruits, a un poids de fruit moyen compris entre 130 et 140 grammes.
Production précoce et élevée, qualité constante
Provine offre une excellente combinaison entre rendement élevé et qualité constante. Cette variété donne des résultats constants durant toute la saison de culture et s’adapte à différentes conditions de culture. Les résultats d’essais approfondis montrent une production précoce. Jan Hanemaaijer, Commercial Spécialiste International Tomate : « Jusqu’à un stade avancé de l’été, Provine affiche une production au moins égale, voire même supérieure à la variété principale. La variété Provine est très générative avec une bonne évolution de la couleur. Les grappes deviennent rouges plus rapidement comparativement à la variété principale, ce qui permet de les couper 1 à 2 jours plus tôt. Spécialement au printemps où les prix au kilo sont élevés, la précocité est un atout pour votre profit.»
Belle présentation et moins de coût de main d’oeuvre
Parallèlement à sa variété principale actuelle, le producteur de tomates Roel de Bakker effectue dans sa serre un essai avec Provine. Il se montre extrêmement positif : « Outre une belle coloration et un goût savoureux, Provine se distingue avant tout par la structure plate et uniforme de ses grappes, ce qui permet également d'économiser au niveau de la main-d'œuvre. Six grappes de Provine avec 6 fruits remplissent joliment un plateau de 5 Kg, ce qui réduit le travail mais assure une excellente présentation. C'est une variété de tomate grappe dont un producteur peut être fier. »

Am Mittwoch, den 20. Juni stellte Nunhems im Nunhems Tomato Center voller Stolz die neue Rispentomate Provine* vor. Es wurden ausführliche Versuchsergebnisse präsentiert und die Besucher konnten sich einen Überblick über den unbelichteten Anbau verschaffen.
Mit Provine* füllt Nunhems die Lücke zwischen den Segmenten Rispe grob (durchschnittlich ca. 150 g) und Rispe mittel (durchschnittlich ca. 110 g). Sebastiaan Breugem, Product Development Specialist: ‚Es bestand eine Marktnachfrage nach einer etwas feineren groben Rispentomate. Provine (NUN 09196 TOF)* zurückgeschnitten auf 6 Früchte hat ein durchschnittliche Fruchtgewicht zwischen 130 und 140 Gramm.
Frühe und hohe Produktion, gleichbleibende Qualität
Provine bietet eine exzellente Kombination aus hohem Ertrag und gleichbleibender Qualität. Die Sorte zeichnet sich durch eine gleichbleibende Leistung während der gesamten Anbausaison und unter verschiedenen Anbaubedingungen aus. Die ausführlichen Versuchsergebnisse zeigen eine frühe Produktion. Jan Hanemaaijer, Internationaal Sales Specialist Tomaten: „Bis weit in den Sommer hat Provine eine Produktion, die mindestens auf dem gleichen Niveau wie die Produktion der Hauptsorte und sogar etwas darüber liegt. Die Sorte ist stark generativ und hat eine gute Durchfärbung. Die Rispen sind schneller rot als bei der Hauptsorte, so dass sie ein bis zwei Tage eher geschnitten werden können. Da sich gerade im Frühjahr für die geernteten Früchte in guter Preis erzielen lässt, kann Provine dank ihrer Frühzeitigkeit für zusätzlichen Umsatz sorgen.“.
Schöne Präsentation und weniger Arbeit
Tomatenanbauer Roel de Bakker hat in seinem Gewächshaus ein Versuchsfeld mit Provine zwischen seiner derzeitigen Hauptsorte stehen. Er äußert sich sehr positiv. „Die Provine zeichnet sich nicht nur durch eine schöne Färbung und einen dem guten Geschmack aus, sondern vor allem durch einen flachen und gleichmäßigen Rispenaufbau, der uns auch Arbeit spart. Die Rispen mit 6 Früchten passen zu sechst genau in eine Kiste von 5 kg. Dadurch ergibt sich eine schöne Präsentation. Es handelt sich um eine Rispentomate, auf die Sie als Anbauer stolz sein können.“
