LumiGrow Research achieves 40% yield increase in leafy greens

LumiGrow Research., the smart horticultural lighting research branch of LumiGrow Inc, released their latest research report which used LED fixtures to examine the effects of photoperiod length on lettuce plants in a greenhouse environment. The daily light integral (DLI) was kept constant. The results showed that a longer photoperiod achieved up to a 40% yield increase in baby greens, and up to a 13% yield increase in mature lettuces. LumiGrow Research has termed this breakthrough discovery a 'High Yield Photoperiod' (HYP). This method enables growers to increase their crop yield while using the same amount of electricity, which in turn allows them to maximize profits and meet their yield and revenue targets more effectively.
LumiGrow smartPAR™ light management services facilitate the development of these customized light programs. Growers using smartPAR-enabled LumiGrow fixtures gain unprecedented control over meeting DLI targets, light ratios, photoperiods and intensities to improve specific crop features, yield, production and wasteful energy consumption.
LumiGrow Research makes recommendations within this guide based on prior partnerships, professional horticultural resources, and leading scholastic research.
