International Licensing Platform Vegetable announces that its Members have unanimously approved amendments to the ILP rules
May 1, 2018
The ILP Vegetable hereby announces that its Members in the April 6, 2018 General Meeting unanimously approved amendments to the ILP rules which clarify that also patents covering traits made with new breeding technologies like genome editing are accessible for licensing through the ILP, as long as these traits are not regulated as “genetically modified”.
This is an important improvement which ensures the long-term sustainability of the ILP as a mechanism to guarantee access to biological material for plant breeding.
The updated documents can be found here.
