In recognition of its global supplier diversity program, Monsanto has been named to the 2018 Best-of-the-Best List of Corporations by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and the National Business Inclusion Consortium (NBIC). Monsanto is among 45 corporations named to this year’s list.
“The Best-of-the-Best designation honors corporations for their commitment to America’s diverse employees and business owners, which includes LGBT, people of color, women, and people with disabilities,” said NGLCC Co-Founder and President Justin Nelson. “This designation is highly competitive and is bestowed only to corporations that we see constantly striving to strengthen and celebrate diversity. These corporations being honored are true leaders in ongoing global commitments to create a better future for all diverse communities in business.”
The NGLCC, which is considered the business voice of the LGBT community, is the largest global organization specifically dedicated to expanding economic opportunities and advancements for LGBT people.
“Monsanto is committed to reflecting and supporting a diverse supply chain which includes LGBT, minorities, women, and people with disabilities. This is an essential element in connecting to the values, ideas and principles of our company’s inclusive and diverse culture,” said Peter Stoynoff, Monsanto’s Chief Procurement Officer. “We are honored to be recognized by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and the National Business Inclusion Consortium (NBIC) for our world-class supplier diversity program.”
Monsanto received the Best of Best of the Recognition based on narratives about its Internal Workforce Development, Supplier Diversity and External and Community Relations programs.
