China's Vice Minister of Agriculture and Director-General of the International Potato Center (CIP) meet to speed up establishment of CIP’s Asia-Pacific Center

On August 16, Zhang Zhaolin, Vice Minister of Agriculture, met with Dr. Pamela K. Anderson, Director-General of the International Potato Center (IPC). The two sides exchanged views on speeding up the preparation effort for the establishment of IPC’s Asia-Pacific Center.
Vice Minister Zhang briefed Dr. Pamela on the work the Chinese side had done for the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Center since the signing of Host Country Agreement, and made specific suggestions for the next phase of the work.
Dr. Pamela expressed her satisfaction to the development of the work on the Chinese part, and spoke highly of the active contribution the Chinese side had made in this regard. She also gave explanation about the design philosophy and development planning of the Asia-Pacific Center.
