GreenLeaf Genetics LLC announced today that Eric Ford has been named Director of Marketing, effective September 1. Ford will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives for the company. He also will manage marketing and promotional efforts for traits offered through GreenLeaf Genetics.
Ford has an extensive background in developing go-to-market strategies for highly technical trait platforms through his current role as Technology Product Manager with Syngenta. In that role, he was instrumental in designing a new trait stacking and conversion strategy which provides efficiencies and increased speed-to-market for fully-traited hybrids. Ford started out as a Technical Service Agronomist with Golden Harvest Seeds in Nebraska.
“With all of the new trait technologies available in the market, it’s an exciting time to be an independent seed company,” said Ford. “I look forward to working with the out-licensing sector as they continue to set themselves apart in the marketplace with Agrisure traits.”
"I welcome the transfer of Eric Ford from the Syngenta team to the GreenLeaf Genetics team as an expression of our continued objective of supporting the Independent seed sector,” said David Morgan, President of Syngenta Seeds and GreenLeaf Genetics board member. “I am confident that Eric will very effectively use his expertise on Agrisure traits to benefit the customers of GreenLeaf.”
“GreenLeaf Genetics has grown steadily since its formation,” said Bob Iwig, Pioneer Hi-Bred Vice President - Business Development Trait Licensing and GreenLeaf Genetics board member. “Eric will make significant contributions to GreenLeaf’s continued success.”
Ford was raised in Nebraska and is excited to return to the area. A graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy. Ford will be relocating to Omaha, Nebraska.
