LGC is launching a new service, SeqSNP, a cost-effective targeted genotyping by sequencing method enabling genomic selection and other applications. A recent study describes genomic selection as a method "with the potential to improve selection, reduce costs and provide a platform that unifies breeding approaches, biological discovery, and tools and methods."1

SeqSNP can accelerate development of varieties with improved genetic gain

• Cost-effectively screen large and small sample numbers against several hundred to more than 10,000 SNP markers.
• Implement or expand breeding strategies like genomic selection.
• Save months, even years to bring new varieties to market.1
