Wheat Growers has hired Todd Linbo as General Manager of the Wheat Growers Innovation Center. Linbo joins Wheat Growers from the John Deere Ag Division, Des Moines, Iowa, where he most recently was responsible for supply chain management and support of the John Deere application equipment product line.

“We are very excited to add Todd to our Wheat Growers Innovation and Agronomy Services team,” said Djamel Khali, Director of Agronomy Operations. “Todd brings the right combination of experience in retail management and sales. He is known for a strong customer focus. His drive for productivity and efficiency, in addition to a great work ethic, have been key building blocks to his success.”

In all, Linbo brings 28 years of experience in the agriculture industry to Wheat Growers. At John Deere, his supply management responsibilities included supporting service parts, global cost reduction and implementation of SAP. In addition to more than 13 years with divisions of John Deere in Cary, N.C., and Des Moines, Iowa, he also owned Maple River Seeds and has held multiple retail positions such as location manager for Agro Distribution, agronomy sales for Terra Industries and seed sales specialist at Huntting Elevator.

The 36,000 square foot Innovation Center is located on the grounds of the Wheat Growers Bath, S.D., facility. It features an Innovation Showroom, Demonstration Theater, Equipment Modification Shop and Wheat Growers Parts Store.

“As we grow our precision agriculture, Innovation Center and agronomy services, Todd will play a key role in driving sales growth, productivity and efficiency in offering our customers best-in-class precision agriculture equipment and support,” Khali said.

A native of Hayfield, Minn., Linbo has been an active member of the Des Moines community. He has volunteered with the Des Moines branches of Habitat for Humanity and the United Way.
