This summer, three farmers will receive $10,000 for their community and a trip for two to their dream sports field as winners of the Power to Do More contest, sponsored by Resicore® corn herbicide from Dow AgroSciences.
Many farmers entered the contest by uploading a photo that represents the power on their farm, and Dow AgroSciences is proud to introduce the top 10 finalists. The three finalists with the most votes on PowerToDoMore.com by May 21 will win.
“We are thrilled to announce the finalists for the Power to Do More contest and can’t wait to award prizes to the winning communities,” says Lyndsie Kaehler, U.S. corn herbicides product manager, Dow AgroSciences. “Farmers work incredibly hard to produce abundant crops for the world. We look forward to sharing these farmers’ stories and giving the top three the power to do more in their communities through three $10,000 donations to the non-profit organization of their choice.”
The 10 finalists represent a range of farming operations across seven states: Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. These farmers shared the power of their operations through unique photos and stories about family, farming and the passion for giving back to their community. Resicore, the sponsor of this contest, provides trusted residual control and versatility to give farmers power over more than 70 tough weeds that rob corn yield, profit and time.
