Cotton growers who plant their fields to Stoneville® cotton seed varieties can expect income about $27 per acre higher than what they average with varieties offered by other brands.

“Using data from thousands of research programs, including university official variety trials, large plot extension trials and Bayer agronomic performance trials, we compared the income for Stoneville varieties versus competitors,” says Jason Wistehuff, Stoneville cotton product manager. “What we found is growers across the Cotton Belt who adopt Stoneville varieties can expect to bring in $27 more per acre.”

Maximizing income potential is important every season; it’s essential for 2016.

“Growers are managing this crop with extremely narrow margins,” says Scott Asher, Bayer agronomic service manager for the Eastern Region. “With Stoneville varieties, growers have the opportunity to maximize yield, pull premiums for quality and economically manage weeds.”

One of the essential differences between Stoneville cotton varieties and those offered by other companies, is the ability to efficiently and economically control weeds with the proven Liberty® herbicide-based program.

“Stoneville delivers high yield, premium quality and flexible weed management,” Asher says. “By harvesting high yields, earning premiums on quality and managing weeds in an economic program, growers maximize their income opportunity.”
