Clean Seed Agricultural Technologies' innovation leads to precise seeding technology

Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
August 22, 2016

Parliamentary Secretary Terry Beech, on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Lawrence MacAulay, today announced an investment of $1,825,000 to Clean Seed Agricultural Technologies Ltd. to support the commercialization, production and distribution of a new, high-precision seeder.

Precision seeding equipment, such as the new CX-6 SMART Seeder, uses sophisticated field/soil mapping technology which enables the farmer to apply precise amounts of seed, fertilizer and nutrients, at the right time, to maximize yields and reduce cost.

With this funding, six seeders will be produced and field tested on farms, in addition to upgrades of the production line.
