The third edition of Seed meets Technology is even bigger than in previous years

The Netherlands
July 27, 2016

This year the list of exhibitors has grown to nearly 40, so the show area has also been expanded. You will find a big Technology exhibition, and also Vegetable trials.

The 2016 edition will once again feature a range of symposia throughout the week. Each symposium will highlight the latest developments in a particular field.

Seed Processing Holland is also exhibiting and will show the Optigrow Vitaliser.

Priming of commercial seeds is used in order to obtain rapid and uniform crop emergence. This seed preparation method, however, is costly and time-consuming. In a joint effort to develop a faster, ecological and more cost-efficient alternative, the Swedish company Nelson Seed Development now presents an ecological and fully automated process (including drying!) called seed vitalisation. The automated equipment is developed together with Seed Processing Holland.

Besides the machine will be shown, there will be also a symposium by Mr. Torsten Nilsson, the Managing Director, Nelson Seed Development AB on Wednesday September 28, 10:30 – 11:30 am.

You can register  for this symposium on the website of Seed meets Technology, click here to go to the registration page for this symposium.

We would like to welcome you!

Furthermore we will demonstrate our Conditioned seed dryer, CSD-120 and our Laboratory Seed air separator up to 5 kg/h, SAS-020.

Conditioned seed dryer, CSD-120

Laboratory Seed air separator up to 5 kg

The Conditioned seed dryer CSD-120 is designed for drying of commercial seed lots in a controlled way and meets the highest quality requirements. The dryer is very suitable for conditioned drying of:

  • Extracted seeds (for example tomato, pepper, melon and cucumber)
  • Primed seeds
  • Disinfected seeds
  • Film coated (treated) seeds

The Laboratory Seed air separator is used to enhance relatively small seed lots on their specific weight (heavy "good" seeds, lighter seeds and empty seeds). The machine is suitable to enhance pre-cleaned e.g. lettuce (small) up to zucchini (large) seeds.
