Bayer Advanced™, a business unit of Bayer CropScience LP, now offers an award-winning gardening solution in its Ergo-Grip Sprayer Technology, a proprietary innovation designed to provide added comfort and convenience to gardeners.

Ergo-Grip Sprayer Technology, available exclusively from Bayer Advanced, was recently recognized for its innovation, design and functionality with an Excellence in Design award in the Outdoor & Leisure Appliances category from appliance DESIGN magazine. The sprayer technology features ergo-grip contours, sculpted for an ideal fit and secure grip and also includes a grip-controlled spray trigger that is designed to reduce finger, thumb and hand fatigue.

The product also includes features that will offer increased convenience for gardeners, including a built-in storage pocket, folding wand, and continuous battery-powered spray. Four AA batteries are included with the product. Adjustable nozzle wings will allow the user to select a “fan” or “stream” setting.

“This innovation is the result of robust hands-on consumer research and prototype testing,” said Valerie Henshaw, head of marketing for Bayer Advanced. “Listening to the needs of gardeners allows us to focus on putting cutting-edge science in their hands to deliver a clearly better experience.”

Gardening offers tremendous benefits for conditioning the hand muscles and keeping them strong and agile. Coupled with the stooping, digging, crouching and gripping common to gardening, the activity can make for great exercise. However, maintaining awkward movements and body positions over long periods of time can cause discomfort – particularly when it comes to repetitive motion and strain. With that in mind, Bayer Advanced designed Ergo-Grip to help mitigate that fatigue and pain and significantly improve the gardening experience.

“At Bayer Advanced, we are constantly looking for new technological innovations to provide a better life for our customers,” Henshaw said. “With Ergo-Grip Sprayer Technology, protecting your lawn and home from weeds and pests can be easier than ever before.”

The sprayer is featured on a number of Bayer Advanced 1.3-gallon products, including: DuraZone® Weed & Grass Killer; All-In-One Lawn Weed & Crabgrass Killer; Brush Killer Plus; Home Pest Control Indoor & Outdoor Insect Killer; and Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer PLUS.

Bayer (reg'd), the Bayer Cross (reg'd), DuraZone® and Bayer Advanced™ are trademarks of Bayer.
