Country music trio honors farmers on new album - Beck’s Superior Hybrids and The Henningsens continue their partnership to tell the story of the  American farmer

Atlanta, Indiana, USA
June 16, 2016

Beck’s, the largest family-owned, retail seed company in the United States, is excited to announce the country music trio, The Henningsens, have released their first full-length album titled, “World’s on Fire.” Included on the album is “Why I Farm,” a song that honors the hardworking American farmer.

“We have enjoyed teaming up with The Henningsens over the last year to honor farmers through the Why I Farm Movement,” said Scott Beck, president of Beck’s. "Since the creation of the Why I Farm Movement in 2013, we have been able to honor farmers by bringing their stories to life through video. With their award-winning songwriting talents, The Henningsens have truly captured the essence of the American farmer through their lyrics.”

The Henningsens, a family band from central Illinois, released their debut album including the song "Why I Farm" to honor the American farmer.

Reaching more than 3.8 million people, the Why I Farm Movement has gained supporters from across the globe. As a seventh generation farm family, The Henningsens felt passionate about joining the movement to honor their fellow farmers. The band, consisting of Brian Henningsen (bass, guitar and vocals), his son Aaron (guitar and vocals), and daughter Clara (lead vocals and guitar), wrote “Why I Farm” as an anthem for farmers and a testimony to people outside the farming community.

In addition to “Why I Farm,” this highly anticipated album from The Henningsens features 13 songs including "Like a Girl," "Sugar Rush," "Jesus or a Bullet" and the title track, “World’s on Fire”. The Henningsens performed these songs to a sold-out audience at their album release party during CMA Week last week in Nashville, Tenn.

The Henningsens performed the song "Why I Farm" to a sold out audience at their album release party in Nashville, Tenn., on June 8, 2016.

"It's a real honor to be a part of the Why I Farm Movement,” said Brian Henningsen. “The Why I Farm song holds a special place in our hearts. We have been gratified by the way it has been received and are proud to have it on our album. God bless the American farmer!”

The album is available for download on iTunes, Amazon PrimeCDBaby.com, and Google Play. CDs can be ordered at TheHenningsens.com and purchased at live events. The album can be streamed on Spotify, eMusic, Rhapsody, and iHeartRadio.
