Holerilla grows tasty microgreens with Valoya LEDs
April 15, 2016
Holerilla in Italy uses Valoya L-series lamps with the AP673L spectrum to grow a wide variety of microgreens. The microgreens are grown using around 80 µmol/m2/s in a controlled environment. Despite low energy usage, the microgreens have a good texture, good colors and they are very tasty.
The L-series LED tubes with the AP673L spectrum is a cost effective alternative for vertical farms providing superior growth results in comparison to traditional red/blue LED and fluorescent tubes. The durability of Valoya L-series tubes is excellent with a lifetime up to 4 times longer than competitor products. A true T8 form factor allows cost effective one-to-one replacement of 600, 900, 1200 and 1500 mm fluorescent tubes (2, 3, 4 and 5 feet respectively).
