The Tropical Agricultural Technology Transfer Center and the Tropical Agriculture International Training Center of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) were established in Haikou on April 6, 2016. This is an important step of CATAS to implement the national Belt and Road Initiative, with an aim to accelerate the transfer and application of tropical agricultural technologies at home and abroad and tap domestic and overseas talent resources.
