T34 Biocontrol is authorized for edible crops in the United Kingdom

Barcelona, Spain
February 4, 2016

The authorisation in UK is the first registration for edible crops obtained by T34 Biocontrol® in Europe.

On January 26th 2016 the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) authorized for the use of T34 Biocontrol® as a biological fungicide on protected ornamental plant production and protected tomato, pepper, chilli and aubergine with the MAPP Number 17290.

The achieved authorisation replaces the one obtained in February 2012 for ornamental plants and it is the first registration for edible crops obtained by T34 Biocontrol® in Europe. The product has been authorized in accordance with the Uniform Principles for product evaluation and agreed EU points.

The authorisation in UK is the first of the zonal application submitted in July 2014 in seven member states of the European Union (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium and Netherlands). The other six states have 120 days to authorize the product after reviewing the documentation together with the UK authorities.

The product is commercialized in United Kingdom by FARGRO, a leading distributor and supplier of exclusive horticultural products.
