Torkild Damgaard from I/S Damgaard in Stoholm was the lucky winner of Barenbrug seeds for 3 hectares of grassland. He won the prize by taking part in a quiz about grasses, organised by Barenbrug at the AgroNord Agriculture Exhibition in Års, Denmark on 9 March 2016. Barenbrug Denmark attended the AgroNord exhibition together with distributor Linds AS.
Good grasses, happy farmers
Barenbrug and Linds AS were present with a stand at the exhibition. Product Manager Forage Carsten Holmgaard represented Barenbrug Denmark. Holmgaard and the representatives from Linds AS spoke with many local farmers about the grass products Barenbrug is introducing in Denmark. ”We got positive feedback from the farmers who already used our GreenSpirit grass seed”, Holmgaard explains. ”A lot of farmers have tried the mixture GreenSpirit •Struktur with Nutrifibre technology and they are happy with the results. They are enthusiastic about the high yield even after three, four or five years, the durability and the good silage quality which contributes to optimal milk production.”
And the winner is..
Barenbrug and Linds AS organised a contest at the exhibition. Visitors could take part in a quiz about grasses and win seeds for 3 hectares of grassland. The lucky winner was Torkild Damgaard from I/S Damgaard in Stoholm. Together with his brother, he runs a farm with 300 Holstein Friesian cows.
AgroNord Exhibition
The AgroNord Exhibition is an annual event, including a dairy cattle show with 140 dairy cows. This year, the show was attended by approximately 6000 visitors. Hundreds of different agricultural companies were present at the Ago Nord Exhibition to show their products.
Barenbrug and Linds enjoyed the exhibition in Års and are looking forward to this exhibition next year.
