New Zealand
March 11, 2016
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) have released the Import Health Standard schedule for Capsicum seeds in the 155.02.05 Seeds for Sowing standard.
This capsicum schedule will replace the current version and is now available, along with the Risk Management Proposal (RMP), for comment on the MPI website:
MPI is formally consulting on the proposed import requirements for capsicum seeds. The RMP provides the technical justification for the continuance of emergency measures for PSTVd and the addition of measures for PCFVd associated with imported capsicum seed from all countries.
From 11 March 2016 to 06 April 2016 the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) invites comment on proposed changes to the:
- Phytosanitary measures for PSTVd and PCFVd for importation of Capsicum seeds from all countries on the Import Health Standard 155.02.05: Seeds for Sowing.
The proposed changes and technical justification are detailed in the risk management proposal.
We are aiming for the consultation period to remain open until 5pm Wednesday April 06th 2016.
