United Kingdom - Wyevale expands Barenbrug range nationwide - Green Velvet grows from strength to (lush green) strength

United Kingdom
January 26, 2016

Barenbrug’s Green Velvet grass seed range is to be stocked in Wyevale Garden Centres, nationwide.

As of this month, 151 stores will stock the premium amenity grass seed mixtures, from the UK’s grass expert. Launched in August 2014, Green Velvet has seen significant growth following a successful instore promotion and the appointment of three sales agencies.

Says Paul Warner, Barenbrug UK Marketing Manager:

“Green Velvet now has UK-wide distribution. A fantastic achievement in less than a year. We continue to invest heavily in the brand, to promote an outstanding product that is flying off the shelves at Wyevale.”

The range of six premium varieties offer key benefits for gardeners with specific requirements. For instance: hard-wearing and fast-germination ‘Action Hero’; and ‘The Emergency Life Saver’, a quick-fix mixture for emergency repairs.

Green Velvet is currently being trialled through Notcutts and can also be found at numerous independent outlets and regional chains throughout the country.
