The International Biocontrol Industry Symposium will be held March 1 – 2, 2016 in Monterey, California. It is organized by the Biopesticide Industry Alliance (BPIA) in conjunction with the Association of National Biocontrol Producers (ANBP), the International Bicontrol Manufacturers Association (IBMA), and Meister Media Worldwide.
Agenda topics will include:
- Regulatory Harmonization,
- BioProtection: Regional Updates from the U.S., EU, Latin America, and Africa,
- BioProtection Global Market,
- Emerging Technologies.
Several of the approximately fifteen industry thought- leaders who will be speaking include:
Jim Jones, Assistant Administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Jim is responsible for managing the office which implements the nation’s pesticide, toxic chemical and pollution prevention laws.
Luuk van Duijn, PhD, Executive Secretary to the Board for the Authorization of Plan Protection Products (PPP’s) and Biocides Director of the Secretariat. Luuk manages the European Union-wide reporting of AI’s and is principal authority of PPP’s for member states in the Central Zone of the EU.
