September 1st, Dr. Dale Clark will assume the role of Director of Research of Northern Seed, LLC.
Dr. Clark is a proven successful wheat and barley researcher, having commercially released over 35 wheat or barley varieties into the North America grain markets, as a result of his research.
Clark is a Montana State University graduate in Crop Science, and received his Master and Doctorate in Agronomy and Plant Science from University of Arizona. He was employed by Western Plant Breeders, as the lead plant breeder until 2001, when Western Plant Breeders formed WestBred, LLC a joint venture with Cargill. He was Director of Research at WestBred, LLC until Monsanto purchased WestBred in 2009. He continued with Monsanto as Commercial Wheat Breeding Lead for WestBred, Senior Wheat Breeder, and recently as a Wheat Technical Product Manager. Dr. Clark is retiring from Monsanto’s WestBred division and will now assume the role as Director of Research for Northern Seed.
