The National Seed Association of India (NSAI) is an apex body that works towards globalization and development of the Indian seed industry and represents the interests of its members within international organizations and programs. The association was formed after a merger of four separate seed associations that were active across India. Dr. Patel has served on the governing council since its formation 8 years ago.
Dr. Patel states: “Having been part of NSAI since its inception it’s been an honour to have helped NSAI stakeholders in many ways. The association does a lot of good work, like developing ‘Seed Quality Standards’, that will benefit the Indian seed industry for many years. I intend to continue my efforts for the betterment of the seed sector in India, and the experience gained from the last 8 years as well as the knowledge and expertise available through Incotec, a global service provider to the industry, I have every confidence that improved seed quality standards and better policies can be achieved.”
