Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of new corn hybrids for the 2016 planting season. The descriptions of these products follow:
DS-9079SSX - 79 Day Maturity
Top-end yield potential for maturity. Excellent drought tolerance. Tough and rugged workhorse style hybrid. Strong stalks and roots. Determinate ear style, excels at higher populations. Rockets out of the ground, even in cool wet soils.
DS-9186RA - 86 Day Maturity
Tall, racehorse style hybrid that brings top-end yields. Strong stalk and root strength. Early flowering for good northern movement. Features fast drydown. Good grain quality. Prefers deep soils and high-fertility environments.
DS-1392 - 92 Day Maturity
Consistent performance east to west. Shows top-end yield potential for conventional hybrid. Solid agronomics. Highly rated emergence scores. Showy attractive hybrid. Nice staygreen in the fall.
DS-9593 - 93 Day Maturity
Provides top-end yields with workhorse stability. Features fast drydown. Fantastic drought tolerance. Versatile hybrid that will handle a variety of soil types. Best performance as a mid- to full-season hybrid. Shows favorable response to fungicide application.
DS-9198RA - 98 Day Maturity
Racehorse hybrid with top-end yield potential. Strong northern movement. Fast drydown and finish. Outstanding foliar health package, including Goss's wilt. Long slender ear style with deep kernel depth. Quick out of the ground with strong early vigor.
DS-9599 - 99 Day Maturity
Excellent drought tolerance. Tough hybrid that delivers a yield punch. Solid stalk and root scores. Great for no-till and corn-on-corn. Nice staygreen in fall with good drydown. Solid performance east to west.
HIDF-3700RA - 100 Day Silage Maturity
SmartStax® Refuge Advanced® and RR available for 2016. Features high starch content with soft kernel texture. Excellent tonnage potential. Strong digestibility characteristics. Great emergence and spring vigor scores. Tall, robust, dark green plant type.
DS-9701RA – 101/99 Day Maturity
Fast drydown in the fall. Stable, high yielding genetics. Excellent drought tolerance. Versatile hybrid that will handle a variety of soil types. Consistent performance east to west. Excellent choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations.
DS-6403 – 103/101 Day Maturity
Racehorse hybrid, all about yield. Girthy, flex ear style. Dominant yield performance. Will respond to high fertility and second application of nitrogen. Best performance as a mid- to full-season product. If used as an early corn we recommend fungicide use.
HIDF-3605RA - 105 Day Silage Maturity
SmartStax® Refuge Advanced® available for 2016. Improved HiDF-3105RA type hybrid. Huge tonnage potential. Solid digestibility scores. Rugged hybrid for tougher soils. Good for no-till and corn-on-corn.
DS-9805RA – 105/103 Day Maturity
Top-end yield potential. Consistent performance east to west. Big girthy ears. Attractive, tall plant type. Prefers a rotation. Will respond to high fertility and second application of nitrogen.
DS-6106 – 106/104 Day Maturity
Stable yield across environments. Outstanding foliar health package, including Goss's wilt. Rugged plant that can handle variable conditions. Very nice grain quality and test weight. Great choice for corn-on-corn and no-till. DS-6206 style hybrid with more yield potential.
HIDF-3808RA - 108 Day Silage Maturity
SmartStax® Refuge Advanced® available for 2016. High tonnage hybrid features girthy flex ear. Responds to high fertility. High starch content. Strong NDFd scores. Extremely soft kernel.
DS-6911 – 111 Day Maturity
Long slender ear style with top-end yield. Carries highest rating for drought tolerance. Strong foliar health package. Nice staygreen in fall. Widely adapted east to west and north to south. Great choice for corn-on-corn and no-till.
DS-9412RA – 112 Day Maturity
