SeedX opened for commercial seed testing this week.

The lab is managed by Mary Voorhees, RST,  who began certified testing of lettuce, spinach, melons, beans, and carrots for the backlog of clients who had waited patiently for a local lab to open.

The lab has also contracted with Pat Brownfield, RST, to offer proprietary vigor tests to help growers, resellers and producers with information about how seed will perform under coastal or desert conditions. 

Informal tours of SeedX's creative small space planning and room germination chambers are  offered upon request.

The company is planning an official open house in mid October.
