USA - Bayer CropScience invites soybean growers to experience real yield - New social instant win game helps growers support state FFAs and win

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA
September 1, 2015

Bayer CropScience will kick-off this year’s Farm Progress show by unveiling its first social instant win experience for growers, the LibertyLink® Real Yield Game. The new promotion enables growers to make a positive difference in the lives of students and also win fantastic prizes. Growers can visit www.RealYieldGame.com, enter their location, and every time the game is played, Bayer CropScience will contribute to their local FFA.

"This is the perfect opportunity for growers to give back to their local community while playing for the chance to win incredible prizes," said Joshua Remington, executive director of the Iowa FFA Foundation. "We are thrilled that Bayer CropScience is working to support the next generation of growers, and we’re excited to play a role in facilitating these efforts.”

The LibertyLink Real Yield Game offers growers the chance to win prizes while playing an action-packed web-based animated game to defeat tough-to-control weeds. The game allows growers to virtually spray soybean fields with Liberty® herbicide and see how the LibertyLink system provides superior control, even on the toughest weeds. Growers can instantly win a 2015 John Deere® Combine or a one-year supply of LibertyLink soybeans and Liberty herbicide, and every play gets an entry to win a one-year lease on a 2015 John Deere® Tractor. Also for every play, Bayer CropScience will contribute to the player’s local FFA (in eligible states*).

“Growers work hard every season to keep their fields clean and protect yields,” said Malin Westfall, Soybean Marketing Manager, Bayer CropScience. “We wanted to reward them with an entertaining way to put their weed-fighting skills into action while they support local students who represent the future of farming.”

The LibertyLink system is built upon a foundation of high-performing genetics, together with superior control even on tough weeds, reducing the costliness of weeds and providing growers with high yields now and long-term operational success. Winners will be revealed in March, along with the total contribution to state FFAs, which will be capped at $50,000 nationally.
