New Zealand - Amendment to IHS 155.02.05: Importation of seed for sowing

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has issued an amendment to the import health standard (IHS) 155.02.05 Importation of Seed for Sowing under section 24A of the Biosecurity Act (1993). The IHS, dated 07 August 2015, replaces the earlier version of the standard dated 01 December 2014. The revised IHS is available to view on the following website: http://www.mpi.govt.nz/importing/plants/seeds-for-sowing/

The following changes have been incorporated in this amendment to the IHS:

  1. A minor amendment to the schedule for Zea Further clarification is provided for the requirements of the viruses Maize chlorotic mottle virus and Sugarcane mosaic virus. The requirements for these viruses have been separated from the requirements for the other regulated pests to improve understanding.
