The new guides are available in pdf format only; the 2009 hard copies are still available and will continue to be distributed together with an insert informing readers of the new updates and where to find them on the HGCA website.

The main revisions include:
- Seed treatment tables
- Disease risk maps (barley only)
- Disease susceptibility & yield (including new RL varieties)
- Fungicide activity tables (new products and changes in active ingredients)
- Fungicide dose response curves (including the new barley fungicide Bontima)
