The attendees consisted of honorary queens and runner ups that communicate the benefits, educate and promote the consumption on watermelon to both the industry, as well as, directly to consumers. “Bayer CropScience is helping to provide educational opportunities to the queen participants by offering them PR training, industry grower knowledge, a seed to farm timeline and a tour of our Bee Care Center. It was great opportunity for us to support our female leaders of the future and teach them how we are creating sustainable solutions for bees and seed alike.” said Caitlin Tierney, Bayer CropScience Produce Chain Marketing Manager.
