The China Seed Expo 2010 is to be held in Shenyang of Liaoning Province from September 16 to 18, covering an area of 12,000 m2, with the China International Seed Summit as a parallel activity with the participation of renowned experts of the industry, academicians, and business representatives to discuss the development of global seed industry, and the opportunities and challenges for China’s seed industry.
On the news presentation for the Expo on April 2, Vice Minister Niu Dun said that the restrain on agricultural resources was becoming more and more evident. Therefore, China needed innovations in agricultural technologies and the development of seed industry ever more urgently than before. The Expo, under the auspices of MOA and Liaoning Provincial Government, aims to provide an international platform for display and communication, to enhance technological exchanges and cooperation for win-win results, and to promote the development of China’s seed industry. All the domestic and foreign exhibitors are welcome.
During the news presentation, information on Liaoning’s seed market, relevant opportunities of cooperation and the preparation for this Expo was also provided. Officials from 18 countries’ embassies to China and representative of the business were present at the presentation.
The Expo, being international, high level and practical, has attracted great attention from the industry as a window for China’s seed industry to go abroad. The last session was attended by over 1000 enterprises from 25 countries, with 27,000 visitors.
