Theo Aanhane (44) will start as the new Chief Executive Officer of NSure on 1 May 2014. He takes over the tasks of co-founder and shareholder Ton van Berkel, who has fulfilled this function since last year. Aanhane will guide and direct the company based on his extended marketing and sales experience in the agro sector.

He studied Plant Breeding at Wageningen University and fulfilled several executive functions in different sales organisations. Until recently he was active as Manager Auctioning and Quality Development at Flora Holland. Currently, he is involved in the Top Sector ‘Horticultural and Breeding material’ as Manager Internationalisation.

 

NSure is an innovative company that develops molecular tests for the agricultural sector. NSure is able to develop highly accurate tests by selecting the genes that are responsible for specific quality traits in crops of interest. Quality traits, such as storage disorders of fresh produce or early detection of key physiological transitions between dormancy, growth and flowering stage. NSure also provides molecular diagnostic services. In the future, NSure’s focus will be on the development of its international business.
