Illinois Foundation Seeds promotes Jason Schlotman to Production & Supply Manager and Gardner Rothmund to Field Crops Operations Manager

Illinois Foundation Seeds, Inc. (IFSI) is pleased to announce 2 promotions within our Field Crops Production and Supply Department.

Jason Schlotman has been promoted to Production & Supply Manager, effective November 2014.  As the Production and Supply Manager, Jason will be responsible for all activities involved with production, and supply.  Primary responsibilities include managing production contracts, conditioning, packaging, warehousing, distribution and quality assurance for dent corn, soybeans and wheat.  Jason will also participate in product forecasting and reporting for the sales team and suppliers.

Jason has been with IFSI since November of 2005 as Inventory/Quality Assurance Manager.  Jason grew up on a farm in Indiana and is a Purdue University Agricultural Economics major.  His high level of organizational skills and experience in production help strengthen IFSI’s commitment to our customers to deliver high quality products in a timely manner.

Gardner Rothmund has accepted the position of Field Crops Operations Manager, effective September 2014.  As Operations Manager, Gardner is responsible for all phases of seed production, processing, and distribution and will report to Jason Schlotman.  Responsibilities include selecting contract acres, leading field scouting, harvesting, inventory, plant operations, warehousing, and distribution for dent corn, soybeans and wheat.

Gardner was hired in 1991 by IFSI as a research technician and was most recently in the Biotech Department in dent corn research.  Gardner graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy.  Gardner’s vast experience in research along with strong knowledge of technology will help strengthen the quality of products delivered to our customers.
