Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of new corn hybrids for the 2015 planting season. The descriptions of these products follow:
DS-6284 - 84 Day Maturity
Roundup Ready 2 hybrid with early flowering for good northern movement. Very good grain quality and test weight. Workhorse style hybrid with very good stalk and root scores. Features fast drydown. Excellent choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations.
HIDF-3188-6 - 88 Day Silage Maturity
Roundup Ready 2 silage hybrid with extremely soft kernels and high starch content. High tonnage potential and strong NDFd scores. Earliest HIDF in the lineup.
DS-1392 - 92 Day Maturity
Consistent performance east to west. Shows top-end yield potential for a conventional hybrid. Solid agronomics and highly rated emergence scores. Showy, attractive hybrid with nice staygreen in the fall.
DS-6693 - 92 Day Silage Maturity
New Roundup Ready 2 hybrid with huge tonnage potential. Tall, robust plant type. High starch content and strong NDFd scores. Productive east to west. Long harvest window.
DS-6693 - 93 Day Maturity
Roundup Ready 2 hybrid with a tall, robust plant type. Racehorse style hybrid with consistent performance east to west. Prefers deep soils and high fertility environments. Highly rated emergence scores. Top-end yield potential!
HIDF-3197RA - 97 Day Silage Maturity
SmartStax® Refuge Advanced® silage hybrid that performs well east to west. Strong NDFd scores. Features high starch content and high tonnage potential.
DS-6599 - 99 Day Maturity
Excellent drought tolerance. Workhorse style hybrid with solid stalk and root scores. GT hybrid with great performance on no-till and corn-on-corn. Nice staygreen in fall with good drydown. Best performance is Wisconsin moving west.
HIDF-3099-6 - 99 Day Silage Maturity
New Roundup Ready 2 hybrid with huge tonnage potential. Extremely tall hybrid. High starch and high NDFd. Excellent milk per acre ranking. Can handle variable populations.
DS-9900RA – 100/98 Day Maturity
SmartStax® Refuge Advanced hybrid with high yield potential. Consistent performance east to west. Rugged plant that can handle variable conditions. Nice flex style ear. Strong stalk and root scores. Excellent choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations.
DS-1805 – 105/103 Day Maturity
New conventional hybrid with top end yield potential. Consistent performance east to west. Big, girthy ears. Attractive, tall plant type that prefers a rotation. Will respond to high fertility and second application of nitrogen.
DS-6905 – 105/103 Day Maturity
Roundup Ready 2 hybrid with consistent performance east to west. Rugged plant that can handle variable conditions. Excellent drought tolerance. Very good scores for Goss’s Wilt. Good choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations. Fast drydown in the fall.
DS-9307RA – 107/105 Day Maturity
New SmartStax® Refuge Advanced hybrid with top end yield potential. Solid stalks and root scores. Excellent drought tolerance. Nice staygreen in the fall. Consistent performance east to west. Good choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations.
DS-9409RA – 109/107 Day Maturity
New SmartStax® Refuge Advanced hybrid with excellent drought tolerance. Workhorse hybrid that delivers dependable yields. Good choice for corn-on-corn and no-till situations. Outstanding stalk and root strength. Very nice grain quality and test weight. Very good southern movement as an early hybrid.
