Enkhuizen, The Netherlands
January 26, 2010
Just like last year Enza Zaden will be exhibiting innovations and flavourful products at the Fruit Logistica 2010 trade show. The clever Timing Taste concept, the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award-winning SweetGreen, and a presentation of the results of a revolutionary study are just a few examples of what will be showcased.
Besides concentrating on taste and furnishing information about the latest progress in R&D, Timing Taste focuses on recognising and communicating global trends. During Fruit Logistica, one of these global trends in particular will be highlighted. A particular packaging technique is currently extremely popular with consumers in Japan, the world-wide leader in technology.
Since the Timing Taste concept and SweetGreen are particularly suited to this technique, Enza Zaden will be demonstrating the technique throughout Fruit Logistica and making it available to interested parties.
Eazyleaf and extensive research
Besides Timing Taste and SweetGreen, Enza Zaden is presenting a wide assortment of Eazyleaf lettuces at the exhibit, as well as current and future successes from European tomato breeding programmes, Australian onion varieties, cucumbers and sweet peppers from the Middle East, Brazilian Galias and Spanish Piel de Sapo melons. Lots of attention will also be given to organic products, which are increasing in popularity around the world.
On Thursday, 4 February, from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Freshconex Business Forum, Enza Zaden will present the results of a five-year-long shelf-life study carried out in France and the United States. The results have bearing on lettuce and will be of great interest for the processing industry, growers, trade and supermarkets.
