Clean Seed Capital Group Ltd. (“Clean Seed” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: CSX) is pleased to announce that its application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) has resulted in Clean Seed gaining clear passage to patents for the CX6 Smart Seeder.
In March, 2013, after years of research and development, Clean Seed filed a comprehensive patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for the Company’s highly advanced CX6 Smart Seeder Technology. An international search under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) on the patentability of the CX6 has resulted in an extremely favorable report. No patents, prior art or publications are sighted against the CX6.
Clean Seed’s patent lawyers state that when a PCT International Search Report is overwhelmingly favorable in the CX6 uniqueness and patentability, it is usual that patent offices in the 148 member countries will follow the finding of the PCT opinion and issue the applicant a patent.
Company CEO, Graeme Lempriere said, “The fundamental long-term outlook for agriculture and the related need for progressive technologies continue to present significant opportunities for Clean Seed. This exceptional result from the (WIPO) is a reflection of years of detailed development and planning and solidifies our efforts to pioneer a new segment of the market”
