Dairyland Seed releases new soybean varieties

Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of 12 new soybean varieties for the 2015 planting season.  Each of these varieties can be seen at research tours and field days throughout the Midwest this fall.  The descriptions of the new products follow:

DSR-C918/R2Y Maturity 0.09

Top yielding genetic background. Good field tolerance for PRR and Rps1k. Excellent emergence scores in research data. Handles variable planting practices and soil types.

DSR-0514/R2Y Maturity 0.5

RPS3A + XG1c for extended PRR security! Outstanding 0.5 RM addition for 2015 planting.  Good emergence and standability through harvest. Provides IDC protection. Protects against SCN pressure.

DSR-0711/R2Y Maturity 0.7

R3 & MR14 SCN defense. Best research data from just west of RRV and east into Minnesota. Great standability for extended harvest situations. Unique genetic background with solid agronomics and yield.

DSR-1340/R2Y Maturity 1.3

Exciting new product with excellent emergence. Very good protection against IDC and white mold. Moderate resistance to brown stem rot. A future all-star for early to mid-Group 1 RM areas.

DSR-1990/R2Y Maturity 1.9

Exciting new product with attention-getting yield potential. Resistant to brown stem rot. Very good defensive ratings across the board. Travels east to west very well. Taller plant type with nice width and standability. 

DSR-2810P/R2Y             Maturity 2.8

Peking SCN background, resistance for Races 1 and 3. Rps1c PRR gene with outstanding field tolerance and emergence. Defends against white mold and SDS pressure. Agronomically sound. Place on those tougher SCN environments where PI88788 has slipped.

DSR-2909/R2Y Maturity 2.9

Exciting new late Group 2 with top end yield potential. Widely adaptable for planting practices and environments. Great defensive package. Medium-tall plant type with good width. Stands tall at harvest. 

DSR-3040/R2Y Maturity 3.0

Brown stem rot and SDS defense. Medium-tall plant with standability through harvest. 76% at or above plot average in Dairyland’s on-farm testing. Covers multiple soils and management practices.

DSR-3313/R2Y Maturity 3.3

Impressive research data behind this new release! Yield and great stress tolerance in one package. Excellent defensive protection. Quick out of the ground and impressive through harvest. Handles soil and environment variability. Taller and thinner plant for narrower row situations. 

DSR-3685/R2Y Maturity 3.6

Excellent emergence gets this one out of the ground quickly. Rps1k bolstered by strong field tolerance to PRR. Awesome yield record over two years of research data. Great marks vs. frogeye leaf spot. 

DSR-3838/R2Y Maturity 3.8

Exciting new 3.8 RM for 2015 that yields with the best of them! Travels east to west very well. Segregating for Rsp1k with exceptional field tolerance to PRR. Combats BSR, SDS, and SCN. 

DSR-4490/R2Y Maturity 4.4

Excellent emergence gets this one off to a fast start. Good defense against SDS and frogeye. Rps1k and SCN defenses. Medium-tall plant with lateral branching habit and great standability.
