Canada - Corn growers invited to see the latest in high-speed precision planting from Seed Hawk in the field

Langbank, Saskatchewan, Canada
July 29, 2104

Growers and dealers are invited to check out the outstanding results of high-speed precision corn planting at the upcoming Tempo® planter plot tour and demonstration in Lethbridge, AB on August 20, 2014. Combining precision and speed, the Tempo high-speed planter planted the demonstration corn field plot at four speeds – up to 10 mph – in May 2014. Field day visitors will see the results of precision planting in the maturing corn crop.

“This event is an opportunity for growers to see the Tempo corn planter in action,” says Randy Pistawka, Director of International Sales and Market Development with Seed Hawk. “Accuracy is so important in seed placement and this planter reduces skips in rows and the chance of doubles. Precise seed placement means better crops and higher yields, and we know that’s what matters to growers.”

Hosted on the Jack Slingerland Farm in Lethbridge, the field day will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20 with plot tours and Tempo planting demonstrations, followed by lunch. Growers will also have the opportunity to check out the results of plot seedbed preparation delivered by the Carrier® tillage system and to take part in a demonstration of the E-Control™ wireless control system.
