Before devoting his professional activities to representing seeds companies as Director of the National Federation of Vegetable and Flower seeds (FNPSP) in France, and then with the French Union of Seeds Companies (UFS), Bernard BOSC had developed his scientific career within Groupe LIMAGRAIN, at VILMORIN SA.

Today he has chosen to concentrate on his original passion, plant breeding, for the same Auvergne-based group, by joining HM. CLAUSE as Deputy Research & Breeding Vice President for Europe and Asia.

He will be responsible for managing Research program resources for Europe and Asia, and co-ordinating all the activities of research and breeding stations.
He will directly steer the Breeding of vegetable crops of the type “leafy/roots/bulbs” (cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, fennel, carrot, corn salad…)

Bernard BOSC, 55, graduated as an Engineer from the ENITH and the Ecole Supérieure de Sciences Commerciales (National School of Commercial Sciences) of Angers, France. He joined VILMORIN as a Pea and Bean breeder in 1981 and became Research manager in 1993. In 2004, he took over from Claudine HANZ-MARTINACHE as President of the Vegetable Seeds Federation in France (FNPSP). He ran its modernization program and broadened its professional scope up until its merger with the other seeds company federations, and the birth of the UFS.

HM.CLAUSE, a Business Unit set up in LIMAGRAIN in 2008 through the joint approach of CLAUSE (FRANCE) and its sister company HARRIS MORAN (USA), achieved sales of about $200M with 1100 employees, has offices in 15 countries on the five continents and is one of the top five vegetable seeds leaders in the world.
