Seedway introduces Cornell University-developed EZRA alfalfa for commercial sale for the spring 2010 planting season

Hall, New York, USA
January 7, 2010

SEEDWAY announces the introduction of EZRA alfalfa for commercial sale for the spring 2010 planting season. EZRA was developed by the Cornell University plant breeding department and released exclusively to SEEDWAY as part of its Farm Science Genetics® line of premium forage products.

Named in honor of Cornell University founder Ezra Cornell, EZRA is the 24th alfalfa variety released by the Cornell plant breeding department. EZRA combines the superior genetics of past Cornell varieties into a modern alfalfa well-suited to the demanding environmental conditions and management practices of the Northeast. A work-horse variety, EZRA exhibits persistence, tolerance to wetter soils, and yield and forage quality potential. Testing in New York and Pennsylvania has shown excellent results. Contact your local dealer or SEEDWAY for more information and availability.

Headquartered in Hall, NY, SEEDWAY, LLC maintains locations in Trumansburg and Mecklenburg, NY, Shoreham, VT, Mifflinburg, Emmaus and Elizabethtown in PA and Lakeland, FL.
