UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) is a global independent safety science company with over 100 years of experience in innovating safety solutions. Headquarters of UL is located in Northbrook, USA. UL has clients in 104 countries and has offices in 39 countries.
UL 508A is a standard which is applied on the control panels in the USA and Canada. The goal of UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) is that a producer of machines fabricates safe control panels, which contains UL-certificated components only.
We are one of the few manufactures in the seed industry who are certificated to deliver control panels conform UL 508A. Optionally, these control panels can be equipped.
Our electricians have participated in an intensive training from UL International (Netherlands) B.V. In the meantime the first projects with various control panels are manufactured and certificated following UL 508A.
Safety
Benefits of an UL 508A certified control panel are:
- • Guarantee of the general safety and that the control panels meets the specifications.
- • Manufacturers that carry the UL 508A certification are subject to periodic unannounced inspections of their facilities by UL personnel. Because of these audits, UL can insure the manufacturer continues to meet the UL requirements for UL508A certification.
- • For a control panel to carry the UL 508A Listing Mark, the panel must contain only UL recognized and listed components. The UL Mark on a component means that UL has evaluated and tested samples of this component and has concluded that the component meet the UL requirements. This protects the quality and integrity of the control panel and provides guarantee of safe performance.
