BotanoCap, an innovative agri-biotech company based in Israel, will be unveiling its OrganoCide bio-pesticide sachet for the first time in Europe at the upcoming ABIM meeting.
The revolutionary product will safely extend the shelf life of produce, using environment friendly ingredients.
“The OrganoCide sachet is a small packet which can be put into crates of freshly picked fruits or vegetables” says BotanoCap CEO Yigal Gezundhait. “The non-toxic powder inside will protect the produce from mold and fungi with no direct contact and no discoloration you would see with common pesticides.”
“Everyone along the supply chain would benefit by this product as a longer and safer shelf life also means fewer crops will be thrown away and also reduce shipping and storage costs.” according to Gezundhait. “We hope that ultimately OrganoCide will raise the volume of food shipped, thereby reducing the costs to the average consumer.”
BotanoCap will be exhibiting at the ABIM meeting in Basel Switzerland from October 20th to 22nd.
BotanoCap was founded in 2004. The company develops environmentally sustainable products as substitutes to toxic materials used in agriculture and other commercial sectors. BotanoCap’s products are based on patented micro-encapsulation technology which facilitates an eco-friendly delivery system.
