Clause and Nickerson-Zwaan are two specialized vegetable seed companies operating in India for over 10 years. Both these companies belong to the Limagrain Group, with Clause being based in Hyderabad and Nickerson-Zwaan in Bangalore.

While these two companies are active in their respective areas of temperate vegetable crops, there was a vacuum in the segment of tropical Indian vegetables. In its desire to play a major role in the Indian Market, Limagrain acquired a vegetable seed company Ceekay Seeds Pvt Ltd.

To leverage economies of scale, a strategic decision was taken to consolidate all sales from one point. Consequently, from 1st of October 2008 the products of Clause, Nickerson-Zwaan, Ceekay and the other group companies will be sold via Clause India."
