Peter Toorop is new Secretary of the International Society for Seed Science
September 20, 2013
During the recent AGM held in Paris at the 4th Workshop on the Molecular Aspects of Seed Dormancy and Germination, John Dickie announced to step down as secretary of ISSS.
Peter Toorop offered to take over this role, which was approved by the AGM.
Peter has been a member of ISSS since 2000 and joined the Seed Conservation Department of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in 2001.
With John as a colleague working in the same building, his occasional support in the next few months should provide a smooth transition.
