Dairyland Seed releases new soybean varieties

Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of 8 new soybean varieties for the 2014 planting season. Each of these varieties can be seen at field days throughout the Midwest this fall. The descriptions of the new products follow:

DSR-0305/R2Y Maturity 0.3
Great choice for IDC prone soils. Rps1k for PRR protection. Moderate resistance to brown stem rot. Robust emergence in cooler environments. Medium canopy with average height for maturity. Strong performance in the Red River Valley.

DSR-1120/R2Y Maturity 1.1
Top end yield potential! Moderate resistance to brown stem rot. Rps1k gene to defend against PRR. One of our strongest emergence scores. Tall, thinner plant type suited for narrower rows.

DSR-2250/R2Y Maturity 2.2
WOW factor yield potential! Excellent PRR field tolerance scores bolstered by the Rps1k gene. Top shelf emergence and standability ratings. Moderate resistance to BSR & SCN. Light tawny plant with brown pods.

DSR-2340/R2Y Maturity 2.3
Impressive new product with strong performance across our research trials. Rps1c gene coupled with strong field tolerance. One of our top emergence scores in the lineup. Good SCN protection. Medium bush plant type.

DSR-2612/R2Y Maturity 2.6
Yield potential stood out in research trials. Moderate resistance to brown stem rot. Resistant to SCN. Good PRR field tolerance scores along with Rps1k. Great on white mold. Dynamic agronomic package.

DSR-3595/R2Y Maturity 3.5
Strong yield expression in many environments. Rps1c with good field tolerance scores. Robust emergence. Thin, taller plant type bred for tougher soil types and conditions. Good SDS tolerance and standability scores.

DSR-4010/R2Y Maturity 4.0
Impressive new early 4.0 for 2014. Maintains yield advantage in high and low yield environments. Robust emergence bolstered by stout PRR field tolerance scores. Excellent against Stem Canker. Wider bodied plant type. Broadly adapted as an earlier product pushing south.

DSR-4330/R2Y Maturity 4.3
Impressive research data against the top competitors. True Southern performer. Great PRR field tolerance. Provides protection from SDS and Stem Canker in tough environments. SCN protection.
