Plant Impact makes new management appointments

Plant Impact plc is pleased to announce that Andrew Low, Eduardo Aquino and Pragna Patel join the company in the roles of EMEA Commercial Director, Brazil Commercial Director and Financial Controller respectively.

Andrew Low is a 20 year veteran of the foliar nutrition business, having worked previously with Phosyn and Yara, initially in research and development and later in technical sales in the United Kingdom, Iberia and Latin America. He later took on full management responsibility for Phosyn’s Latin American region and successfully oversaw the integration of the Phosyn product line and personnel after that company’s acquisition by Yara. Most recently he has been instrumental with the establishment and growth of Safagrow, a start-up micronutrient specialist, where he was responsible for product development, production activity and the overall commercial strategy.

Eduardo Aquino is a Latin American agribusiness specialist with more than 20 years of experience across the crop protection, fertiliser and biotechnology industries. Eduardo began his career with DuPont in 1992 after completing an agronomy degree at Universidade Federal de Viçosa. He then moved to Eucatex Agro, the region’s main agricultural substrate producer, where he successfully developed both the Brazilian market and the MERCOSUR trading bloc. After seven years with Eucatex, he took the role of Country Manager with Kemira GrowHow in order to facilitate the company’s entry into the Brazilian marketplace. Responsible for the business unit’s marketing and commercial strategies, logistics and human resources, the unit’s income reached €8.5m and was placed in the group’s top five global regions. Eduardo was most recently the Brazil market leader for Fertiberia, the Spanish multinational and Iberian market-leader and a business consultant to Venbion, a private agribusiness start-up.

Pragna Patel is a senior finance executive with extensive management, finance and commercial experience over a career at both multinationals and SMEs. With a BA in accounting, followed later by an MBA from Henley Management College, Pragna has worked across a range of industry sectors, including telecommunications, IT, charities and recruitment. Her prior roles have included that of CFO at Eutopia Solutions Ltd. and previously as Commercial Finance Manager at BT Radianz. She has served as finance representative to various boards, assisting with financial projections, business plans and risk plans, and developing new systems to improve overall organisational efficiency. Following Pragna’s appointment and the company’s relocation to Harpenden in September 2012, Rob Stafford will no longer serve as Plant Impact’s Interim Finance Director.
