Bill Gilbert is new U.S. National Sunflower Association board member for hybrid seed industry seat

Bill Gilbert, a Syngenta company rep, is the newest member of the National Sunflower Association board of directors.
The Fort Collins, CO resident spent 18 years managing his own ag consulting business called Applied Agronomics in northeast Colorado and western Nebraska.
He's been with Syngenta since 1999 and has held several roles within the company including Area Agronomist, Regional Sales Manager, Product Manager for Sunflower, Alfalfa, Sorghum, National Sunflower Sales Manager, and Solutions Development Manager Diverse Field Crops (including sunflower).
His work in the sunflower business totals more than 30 years of experience.
He currently manages Integrated Solution development within Diverse Field Crops including sunflower, sugarbeets, canola, sorghum, and alfalfa.
His role is to work with growers and industry to uncover unmet needs and utilize Syngenta's product portfolio to create new solutions to address those needs.
Gilbert, and his wife Cindy, have three sons and seven grandchildren.
He takes over the NSA board seat designated for the hybrid seed industry representative which was previously held by John Swanson. Swanson's 12-year term ended this spring.
