Arysta LifeScience North America, LLC and Cheminova, Inc. announced FORTIX™ Fungicide is now registered for corn.
FORTIX can be applied once, early – using ground or aerial application – to provide fullseason fungicide benefits to soybeans and now corn. FORTIX is a combination of two best-in-class chemistries: fluoxastrobin, the fast-acting strobilurin, from Arysta LifeScience and flutriafol, the longest-lasting triazole, from Cheminova.
The two companies have partnered to launch the product into the market, and are jointly marketing and selling FORTIX.
“Arysta LifeScience and Cheminova recently introduced FORTIX to soybean growers,” said Kevin Staska, product manager, Arysta LifeScience. “Now corn growers will have the same flexibility to apply early, using ground or aerial application, for yield-enhancing fungicide benefits all season long.”
FORTIX is labeled for numerous diseases in corn, including (but not limited to) gray leaf spot, northern and southern leaf blights, and rusts.
“As with the soybean market, we believe this product will set the new standard for fungicide performance, helping corn growers protect their investment and maximize every acre,” said Deneen Sebastian, product manager, Cheminova.
