The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is giving grain growers and advisers access to presentations from the southern hemisphere’s most significant conference on tackling herbicide resistance.
The Global Herbicide Resistance Challenge, held recently in Fremantle, Western Australia, was a unique gathering of the best scientists from around the world in the field of herbicide resistant weeds.
GRDC, a conference sponsor, selected the presentations for their direct relevance to Australian grain growers and researchers.
GRDC encourages all grains industry stakeholders to watch the online presentations (12 in total will be progressively uploaded over the coming weeks).
The presentations can be accessed via the GRDC website, www.grdc.com.au/GHRC-presentations, and the WeedSmart website, www.weedsmart.org.au/ghrc, and will soon be available via the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI) website, www.ahri.uwa.edu.au.
Keynote speakers featured in the presentations discuss the threat of herbicide resistance, alternatives to herbicide weed control and the latest technology that can be employed to address the issue of resistance.
The Global Herbicide Resistance Challenge was convened and hosted by AHRI.
